CN Pensioners Associations, Inc.

How the CN Railroaders in the Community program works

Each participant in the program need only volunteer a minimum of five (5) hours with one or up to five eligible charities from January 1 to December 31 to get a reward. For example, you could choose to dedicate your five hours at one cause, or volunteer one hour at five different causes to reach the threshold. The choice is yours.

CN provides a $75 reward to the organization after your first five (5) hours of volunteer work. Each additional hour of volunteer work earns a $15 reward, up to a maximum of $1,500 per employee per year (including volunteer hours completed by family members) and $1,050 per CN pensioner per year (including volunteer hours completed by their spouse/surviving spouse).

There is no limit to the number of organizations an employee, their family members, CN pensioners and the spouses/surviving spouses of CN pensioners can volunteer with. All eligible organizations will receive a reward from CN provided you meet the five-hour volunteer minimum.

Thanks to our new digital platform, you can now easily track your volunteer hours and see when the reward to your charity was made.

Rewards are transferred electronically to the eligible organizations on a monthly basis.
