Retired for 9 yrs. Where can I obtain my CN share purchase history/values, in the event that I would choose to sell some.
My financial advisor has said that I need to have this information and it should be available to me.

It is (was) your responsibility to keep track of share transactions (# of Shares, cost, buys & sells) and to calculate the Adjusted Cost Base (ACB). You also have to account for stock splits in the calculation.

The reply from Gary was not helpful. I bought shares through salary deductions and have no record of this. Why would I? I have sold the shares and my accountant says I have to tell the CRA exactly when they were bought, at what price, and how many. Surely CN has a record of this somewhere.

Gary's response was spot on. You saying Gary was not helpful was also spot on. You could try calling "CN Pensions & Benefits Admin (1-800-361-0739)". They may be able direct you to the person that has the information you are looking for.
Good luck.
